The Medical and Pharmaceutical Study Group is an internationally connected community of collectors, physicians, pharmacists, and—last but not least—patients (as ultimately, that includes all of us). Our vision is to present the history of medicine and pharmacy through stamps, postmarks, and historical postal documents in a clear, scholarly, and lasting way. Our mission is to promote medical philately and pharmaceutical philately as specialised fields of collecting and research, to consolidate knowledge, and to foster professional exchange across national borders. We achieve this through digital communication and traditional publications, actively supporting our members by means of:

• a bi-weekly digital circular (newsletter) featuring selected medical and pharmaceutical philatelic material
• quarterly specialist publications (Philatelia Medica and Löwen-Zahn), printed and distributed to members
• monthly virtual lectures, illustrated with philatelic material on current and historical topics
• personal support in exhibit development, research, public outreach, and the exchange and search for philatelic items
• an association-operated Delcampe sales shop, offering donated philatelic material in support of the study group
