Minka Skaberne (1882–1965) was a pioneer in education for the blind in Slovenia. After completing her teacher training, she specialized in teaching the blind in Vienna and Graz. In 1918, she participated in founding the first institution for the blind in Ljubljana and laid the foundation for a Braille library with over 2,500 books. She supervised teaching at the blind school established in 1919 and contributed to the creation of a home for the blind in Škofja Loka. In addition to her pedagogical work, she authored publications on the education and care of the blind.
