Immanuel Kant (1724-1804) was a German philosopher of the Enlightenment, known for his works “Critique of Pure Reason”, “Critique of Practical Reason” and “Critique of Judgment”. He shaped modern philosophy with his theories on knowledge, ethics and aesthetics and emphasized the importance of reason and morality. The stamp was included in this medicophilatelic collection because of the depicted brain.

Jakob Levy Moreno (1889-1974) was an important psychiatrist and psychotherapist who developed psychodrama and sociometry. Psychodrama is a therapeutic technique in which patients work on their problems through role-playing. Sociometry measures and analyzes social relationships within groups. Moreno emigrated to the USA in 1925, where he founded the Beacon Hill Sanatorium and further developed his methods. His work has had a lasting influence on psychotherapy and social psychology.

The red tulip has been used as an international symbol in the fight against Parkinson’s disease since 2005. The flower was bred in 1980 by the Dutchman J.W.S. van der Wereld, who himself suffered from Parkinson’s disease. He named the red and white tulip “James Parkinson Tulip” in honor of J. Parkinson, after whom the disease was named. J. Parkinson’s birthday, April 11, is also the date of World Parkinson’s Day.
