Ana Aslan (* January 1, 1897 in Brăila; † May 8, 1988 in Bucharest) was a Romanian physician and gerontologist. She founded the State Institute for Geriatric Research in Bucharest in 1945. She developed a therapy named after her in about 1946-1956, which involved the use of procaine (the anesthetic Novocaine) to stop aging. She became an internationally known scientist as a result. However, the effect of procaine could never be clearly proven, which is why this therapy is no longer used in conventional medicine today.

Clara Barton was an American nurse, teacher, humanitarian, and the founder of the American Red Cross. She was born on December 25, 1821 in Oxford, Massachusetts, and she died on April 12, 1912 in Glen Echo, Maryland. Clara Barton is best known for her important work during the American Civil War and her role in the founding of the American Red Cross.
