Olivia Sabuco (born 1562 in Albacete, died ?), full name María de Oliva Sabuco y Almansa, was a Spanish philosopher and writer of the 16th century. She is known for her work “Nueva Filosofía de la Naturaleza del Hombre,” published in 1587. This book, which translates as “New Philosophy on the Nature of Man,” is one of the first works that addressed human health and well-being from a medical, philosophical and psychological perspective.
