Title: Kork für Kork
Lecturere: Clemens M. Brandstetter
Summary: Cork is a natural product for which there are numerous uses – we are very familiar with corks from champagne, sparkling wine or wine bottles. In Germany, around 1,200,000,000 bottle corks are produced every year. This corresponds to 32,000 cubic meters of cork scrap. Only about 1/10 of this “waste” is recycled (wiki). That’s one side of the coin – on the other hand, we know that cork production withers away if the cork is not harvested. Then forest owners clear and create open spaces. Why is the exhibit called Cork for Cork? Let us surprise you!
